Transport Links

Car: the cottages are 1 mile from the A3400 at the “Finest Catch” restaurant north of Henley in Arden, within a 20-minute drive from the National Exhibition Centre. The bridge by the “Finest Catch” has a weight limit of 7.5 tonnes and the lane to Irelands Farm is a single track road with passing areas. There is an alternative route off the A3400 nearer to the M40 for large vehicles. The drive to Irelands Farm Cottages from the road is a long stone farm track.

Bus:  the nearest bus stop is on the A3400 by the “Finest Catch” restaurant. This is the "X20" (Stratford upon Avon /Birmingham route) and runs hourly.

Rail: the nearest railway station is Henley-in-Arden. There is free parking and trains run hourly to Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham Moor Street.

 

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

Car parking:  available for up to 2 vehicles, directly outside each property. Arrangements can be made with the owner for vans/lorries/extra vehicles. The surface is concrete, and can be uneven in places.

Paths: access to the properties are by steps ranging from 7cm to 17cm or via a slope at the end of the path.

 

Inside All Cottages

Kitchens: equipped with standard height work surfaces. They are supplied with fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, integrated sinks, hob tops, low-level ovens with drop down doors and simple washing machines with side opening doors.

Stairs: have handrails and are standard in height and width. They total 12/13 steps.

 

Inside Individual Cottages

Bulrush Cottage: there is a lip of 5cm at the base of the front door. There is a 20cm lintel with a 8.5cm step down into the kitchen onto matting.

Bramble Cottage: there is a lip of 5cm at the base of the front door onto matting.

Hazel Cottage: there is a lip of 2cm at the base of the front door entering onto Lino lay flooring in the kitchen.

Lily cottage: there is a lip of 2cm at the base of the front door onto matting in the entrance area/lounge. There is a ground floor bedroom with walk in en suite shower, there are 2 grab rails and a stool in the shower and rails either side of the toilet. The sink is at a lower level with lever taps reduced height shaver point and mirror. All internal ground floor doors are sliding (82cms wide)

Laburnum cottage: there is a lip of 10cm at the base of the front door, opening onto a Lino lay floor covering in the hall.

 

Outside Facilities

There is a private garden at the back of Laburnum accessible from the lounge through double patio doors. There is a fenced communal garden to the rear of Lily, Hazel, Bramble and Bulrush with privacy fence panelling between each cottage. Access to the garden from Hazel, Bramble and Bulrush is through the lounge double patio doors. Access from Lily is through the garden gate to the side of Lily kitchen. Each cottage has a paved patio area, garden furniture and clothes dryer.
